OTVORENA 10. KONFERENCIJA SRPSKE MEDICINSKE DIJASPORE U ORGANIZACIJI FONDACIJE NJ. K. V. PRINCEZE KATARINE - 10TH SERBIAN DIASPORA MEDICAL CONFERENCE, ОRGANIZED BY HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE FOUNDATION, OFFICIALLY OPENED

Njihova Kraljevska Visočanstva Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar i Princeza Katarina svečano su otvorili 10. Konferenciju srpske medicinske dijaspore u hotelu Hilton u Beogradu. Ovogodišnjoj Konferenciji prisustvuje više od 600 domaćih lekara i više od 100 predavača iz 20 zemalja.

Dvodnevna Konferencija se održava pod pokroviteljstvom Njihovih Kraljevskih Visočanstava Prestolonaslednika Aleksandra i Princeze Katarine, u organizaciji Fondacije Nj.K.V. Princeze Katarine, uz podršku Ministarstva zdravlja, Ministarstva spoljnih poslova, Lekarske komora Srbije, Medicinskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu i Svetske zdravstvene organizacije.

Nj.K.V. Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar pozdravio je sve prisutne i zahvalio im se na velikoj pomoći i podršci tradicionalnoj konferenciji koju su organizovali Princeza Katarina i njena Fondacija. Svečanom otvaranju prisustvovali su, pored NJIHOVIH Kraljevskih Visočanstava i Beti Rumeliotis, sestra Princeze Katarine, dr Zlatibor Lončar, ministar zdravlja Republike Srbije, g. Alen Šeranić, ministar zdravlja Republike Srpske, predstavnici diplomatskog kora,  drugi uvaženi gosti, kao i brojni predavači i učesnici iz Srbije i inostranstva.

„Srbija ima uspešnu tradiciju u medicinskoj nauci, imamo veoma dobre i kvalitetne lekare. Da bismo tako i nastavili, potrebno je da dalje razvijamo i promovišemo razmenu znanja i iskustava među lekarima“, istakla je Nj.K.V. Princeza Katarina u svom govoru.

Deseta, jubilarna Konferencija srpske medicinske dijaspore pokriva širok spektar oblasti medicine, fokusirajući se na ginekologiju, pedijatriju, onkologiju, genetiku, gojaznost i dijabetes, oftalmologiju, kardiologiju i starenje. Predavači i moderatori su najistaknutiji medicinski stručnjaci iz Srbije i inostranstva – sa klinike Mejo iz Ročestera (SAD), Univerziteta u Birmingemu (Velika Britanija), Univerzitetske klinike u Bazelu (Švajcarska), bolnice Mitera iz Atine, Hernia Centra iz Minhena, Univerzitetske klinike iz Beča i drugih uglednih zdravstvenih institucija.

Cilj Konferencije je unapređenje saradnje između naših lekara i stručnjaka iz oblasti medicinskih nauka iz dijaspore sa institucijama i pojedincima koji predstavljaju stubove kvalitetne zdravstvene zaštite u Srbiji, kao i umrežavanje stručnjaka u oblasti zdravstva u Srbiji sa srpskom akademskom zajednicom u dijaspori.

10TH SERBIAN DIASPORA MEDICAL CONFERENCE, ОRGANIZED BY HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE FOUNDATION, OFFICIALLY OPENED

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine officially opened the 10th Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference at the Hilton Hotel in Belgrade. This year’s Conference is being attended by more than 600 domestic doctors and more than 100 lecturers from 20 countries.

The two-day Conference is being held under the auspices of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, organized by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, with the support of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Medical Chamber of Serbia, University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine and the World Health Organization.

HRH Crown Prince Alexander greeted all present and thanked them for a great help and support to the traditional conference organized by Crown Princess Katherine and her Foundation. The official opening was attended by Mrs. Betty Roumeliotis, HRH Princess Katherine’s sister, Mr. Zlatibor Loncar, Serbian Minister of Health, Mr. Alen Šeranić, Minister of Health of Republika Srpska, members of the diplomatic corps, other distinguished guests as well as numerous lecturers and participants from Serbia and abroad.

“Serbia has a successful tradition in medical science, we have very good and quality doctors. In order to keep it that way, we need to further develop and promote this exchange of knowledge and experience among the doctors, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine in her greeting speech.

The tenth, jubilee “Serbian Diaspora Medical Conference” covers a wide range of fields of medicine, focusing on gynecology, lung cancer, genetics, obesity and diabetes, ophthalmology, cardiology and aging. The lecturers and moderators are the most prominent medical experts from Serbia and abroad – Mayo Clinic in Rochester (USA), University of Birmingham (UK), University Clinic in Basel (Switzerland), Mitera Hospital – Athens (Greece) Hernia Center in Munich (Germany), University Clinic in Vienna (Austria) etc.

The goal of the Conference is to improve cooperation between our doctors and experts in the field of medical science from the Diaspora with institutions and individuals that represent the pillars of quality of healthcare in Serbia, as well as networking the experts in the field of health care in the Republic of Serbia with the Serbian academic community in the diaspora.

Njihova Kraljevska Visočanstva Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar i Princeza Katarina u subotu uveče bili su počasni gosti na proslavi 25 godina rada humanitarne organizacije Lajflajn iz Čikaga čiji je osnivač Njeno Kraljevsko Visočanstvo Princeza Katarina. Njihova Kraljevska Visočanstva došla su u pratnji svog unuka Majkla i unuke Stefani sa njenim suprugom Majklom. Na humanitarnom dogadjaju povodom godišnjice rada prisustvovalo je nekoliko stotina zvanica koji su pomogli da se prikupe sredstva za sirotišta, škole i bolnice u Srbiji.

Obraćajući se gostima i organizatorima, Njeno Kraljevsko Visočanstvo Princeza Katarina je istakla: „Iza nas je 25 godina posvećenog humanitarnog rada na koji smo jako ponosni. Hvala vam svima na pomoći i podršci. U narednih 25 godina, imaćemo još puno aktivnosti. Zajedno možemo puno toga da postignemo, zajedno možemo da odgovorimo na potrebe korisnika sirotišta, domova za stare, skloništa za beskućnike, bolnica, fizičkih lica i svih onih kojima je u Srbiji potrebna pomoć.“

Dr Milena Tatić Bajić, predsednica Upravnog odbora humanitarne organizacije Lajflajn iz Čikaga u svom govoru je rekla: „Blaženi smo što možemo da se bavimo poslom kojim se bavimo. Najveća nagrada je da vidite da se, kroz vašu pomoć, širi talas dobročinstva. Promena u jednom životu preslikava se na čitave zajednice.“

Dogadjaju je prisustvovao i generalni konzul Republike Srbije u Čikagu, gospodin Dejan Radulović. Nakon prikazivanja filma o aktivnostima organizacije i nekoliko govora, Njeno Kraljevsko Visočanstvo Princeza Katarina uručila je posebnu nagradu fondaciji Džon i Mildred Vučenić, za njihovu kontinuiranu pomoć i humanitarni rad. Pred kraj programa organizovana je tiha aukcija u prelepom prostoru Kluba sindikalne lige.

CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE VISIT LIFELINE HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION CHICAGO FOR ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia were guests of honour at the 25th Anniversary celebration of  Lifeline Humanitarian Organization, Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine, on Saturday in Chicago. Their Royal Highnesses were accompanied by their grandchildren Michael, Stephanie and Michael her husband.  This event was a huge success, gathering several hundred people, who helped raise funds for orphanages, shelters, schools and hospitals in Serbia.

Addressing guests and organizers HRH Crown Princess Katherine emphasized:

“We have 25 years of committed humanitarian action behind us and should all be proud of it. Thank you for your effort and commitment. More work is ahead of us for the next 25 years.

Together we can do a lot, and together we will respond to requests, from orphanages, old people’s homes, homeless’ shelters, health care institutions, individuals and all those who need help.”

Dr. Milena Tatic Bajich, President of the Board of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization Chicago said in her speech: “We are all blessed to be able to do the work we do.  We help many through our efforts and the really big reward is in creating a ripple effect.  Changing lives, alters many many communities.”

The event was attended by the Serbia’s General Consul General in Chicago Dejan Radulović. Guests enjoyed the program which contained video clips of efforts throughout the years, several speeches and the Princess Katherine Award presented the Princess Katherine award to the John and Mildred Wuchenich Foundation for their continued support and humanitarian aid.  The Union League Club of Chicago was a delightful venue for a silent auction toward the end of the program.
