Њено Краљевско Височанство Принцеза Катарина свечано је отворила међународни медицински симпозијум „Савремени трендови у лечењу и рехабилитацији наглувости и глувоће“ у хотелу Краун Плаза.
Отварању су присуствовали и проф. др Ненад Арсовић, председник Удружења оториноларинголога Србије и директор Клинике за ОРЛ и МФХ Клиничког центра Србије, као и експерти из овог поља медицине из Холи института из Сједињених Америчких Држава – Ардис Ј. Гардела, др Данијел Меглер и др Џил Карсон.
„Драго ми је да сам патрон симпозијума о лечењу и опоравку наглувости и глувоће код деце, а посебно ми је задовољство што данас имамо прилику да говоримо о резултатима неонаталног скрининга у Србији и искуствима из других држава. Имамо данас овде и драге пријатеље из Америке који често помажу деци са проблемима слуха, па можемо да чујемо и њихова искуства. Моја фондација много ради на сарадњи са лекарима из иностранства и на прикупљању помоћи за болнице и едукацију лекара у Србији, а као и сваке године и овог јуна имаћемо велики скуп лекара из дијаспоре на Конференцији српске медицинске дијаспоре”, рекла је принцеза Катарина.
Организатор симпозијума је Удружење оториноларинголога Србије, а повод је Светски дан бриге о слуху и прослава 50 година постојања Центра за аудиолошку рехабилитацију Клинике за ОРЛ и МФХ Клиничког центра Србије.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine opened the International Medical Symposium “Current trends in the treatment and rehabilitation of hearing loss and deafness” at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Nenad Arsovic, President of the Serbian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and director of the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology and Maxillofacial Surgery, Clinical Center of Serbia, as well as the experts from this field of medicine from The Holley Institute – Ardis J. Gardella, Dr. Daniel Megler and Dr. Jill Courson.
“I am very happy to be the patron of this symposium about treatment and rehabilitation of hearing impaired and deaf children. I am glad we are talking about results of neonatal screening in Serbia and experience from other countries. We have here today our dear friends from United States of America who often help children with hearing problems, so we can hear about their experience. My foundation works a lot on cooperation with doctors from abroad, on collecting help for hospitals and the education of doctors in Serbia, and there will be a great gathering of doctors from the diaspora in June at the Serbian Medical Diaspora Conference, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
The symposium is organized by the Serbian Society of Otorhinolaryngology, on the occasion of the World Hearing Day and celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Center for Audiological Rehabilitation of the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology and Maxillofacial Surgery, Clinical Center of Serbia.
