У Краљевском двору данас је одржан свечани пријем у част потомака славног Гвозденог пука, Другог пешадијског пука првог позива „Књаз Михаило“ Војске Краљевине Србије. Њих је, заједно са супругом Њ.К.В. Принцезом Даницом и децом Њ.К.В. Принцем Стефаном и Њ.К.В. Принцезом Маријом, угостио Њ.К.В. Принц Наследник Филип.

 

„Јако ми је жао што, иако сам планирао, драге госте нисам могао и лично да поздравим, али су им мој син и снаха, Принц Наследник Филип и Принцеза Даница били одлични домаћини. Веома је важно то што Топличани овако предано чувају успомену на своје славне претке. Култура сећања је од изузетног значаја, јер само ако добро познајемо своју прошлост, можемо из ње извући поуке и смернице за будућност“ поручио је Њ.К.В. Престолонаследник Александар, уз уверење да ће неком другом приликом моћи и да се лично упозна са потомцима Гвозденог пука.

 

„Данас сам имао част да у Краљевском двору угостим потомке славног Гвозденог пука, Другог пешадијског пука првог позива „Књаз Михаило“ Војске Краљевине Србије. Са дубоким поштовањем сетили смо се њихових предака који су, уз мог чукундеду Краља Петра I и прадеду Регента Александра, прошли Албанску голготу и дали свој живот за Србију“, поручио је Принц Наследник Филип.

 

На свечаности су присуствовали представници удружења „Гвоздени пук Игриште“, који, како је истакао Принц Наследник, „својим радом и љубављу чувају сећање на јунаке Топлице“. У духу традиције, гости су породици Карађорђевић донели симболичне дарове – ракију, слатко и ручно израђене гусле са ликовима Карађорђа и Његоша.

 

„Док смо заједно обилазили просторије Двора, говорили смо о прошлости која нас обавезује и будућности која нас спаја. Захвалан сам на прилици да, више од сто година касније, у дому мојих предака поново одјекне песма о Србији и њеним јунацима“, додао је Принц Филип. Он је подсетио и на недавну посету супруге Данице и себе селу Игриште у Топлици, поводом годишњице оснивања Гвозденог пука. „Имали смо част да, заједно са народом Топлице, одамо пошту Гвозденом пуку – симболу части, пожртвовања и непоколебљивог духа српског војника. Радујемо се да ускоро поново посетимо ове јуначке крајеве“.

 

Свечани пријем у Двору био је испуњен песмом, сећањем и захвалношћу према прецима који су својом храброшћу исписали једно од најславнијих поглавља српске историје.

A reception was held today at the Royal Palace in honor of the descendants of the famous Iron Regiment, the Second Infantry Regiment of the First Conscription “Prince Mihailo” of the Army of the Kingdom of Serbia. They were hosted by HRH Hereditary Prince Philip, together with his wife HRH Princess Danica, and their children HRH Prince Stefan and HRH Princess Marija.

 

“I am very sorry that, although I had planned, I was not able to greet the dear guests in person, but I am happy that my son and daughter-in-law, Hereditary Prince Philip and Princess Danica, were excellent hosts. It is a significant fact that the people of Toplica are devoted to preserving the memory of their glorious ancestors. The culture of remembrance is of exceptional importance, because only if we know our past well, can we draw lessons and guidelines for the future from it,” said HRH Crown Prince Alexander, confident that he will have the opportunity to meet the descendants of the Iron Regiment in person on another occasion.

 

“Today, I had the honor to host the descendants of the glorious Iron Regiment, the Second Infantry Regiment of the First Conscription, “Prince Mihailo” of the Army of the Kingdom of Serbia, at the Royal Palace. With deep respect, we remembered their ancestors who, along with my great-great-grandfather King Peter I and great-grandfather Regent Alexander, went through the Albanian Golgotha ​​and gave their lives for Serbia,” said Hereditary Prince Philip.

 

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the “Iron Regiment Igrište” Association, which, as the Hereditary Prince pointed out, “with their work and love preserve the memory of the heroes of Toplica.” In the spirit of tradition, the guests brought the Karađorđević family symbolic gifts – traditional Serbian plum brandy – rakija, sweets, and a handmade musical instrument called “gusle” with the images of Karađorđe and Njegoš.

 

“As we toured the rooms of the Palace together, we spoke about the past that binds us and the future that unites us. I am grateful for the opportunity that, more than a hundred years later, the song about Serbia and its heroes will once again resonate in the home of my ancestors,” added Prince Philip. He also recalled his wife Danica’s and his recent visit to the village of Igrište in Toplica, on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Iron Regiment. “We had the honor to, together with the people of Toplica, pay tribute to the Iron Regiment – ​​a symbol of honor, sacrifice, and the unwavering spirit of the Serbian soldier. We look forward to visiting these heroic lands again soon.”

 

The ceremonial reception at the Palace was filled with song, remembrance, and gratitude towards the ancestors who, with their courage, wrote one of the most glorious chapters in Serbian history.

Њ.К.В. Принцеза Даница, дугогодишња чланица Удружења ликовних уметника примењених уметности и дизајнера Србије (УЛУПУДС), упутила је поруку подршке том Удружењу и Галерији „Сингидунум“, које се суочавају са тешком финансијском ситуацијом.

 

„Као дугогодишњи члан Удружења ликовних уметника примењених уметности и дизајнера Србије, али и као неко ко потиче из уметничке породице, осећам дубоку повезаност са овом заједницом стваралаца која већ више од седам деценија чува, унапређује и преноси дух уметности и културе наше земље.

 

УЛУПУДС и Галерија „Сингидунум“ су живи сведоци времена, простори у којима се таленат претвара у трајно наслеђе, где се млади уметници охрабрују, а култура добија своје најлепше лице. Данас су, међутим, ове институције суочене са великим изазовом, који нас све позива на заједништво и солидарност.

 

Култура јe огледало нашег идентитета и темељ друштва које стреми достојанству, лепоти и духовној снази а уметник је значајан актер у нашем друштву. Зато верујем да сада, више него икад, треба да покажемо да стојимо уз оне који својим радом обогаћују наш заједнички живот.

 

Позивам све који цене уметност, традицију и културу Србије да подрже УЛУПУДС и Галерију „Сингидунум“, својим присуством, подршком или донацијом. Истовремено, упућујем искрен позив надлежним републичким и градским институцијама да имају слуха за овај проблем и помогну у проналажењу трајног решења које ће обезбедити опстанак ових значајних културних средишта.

 

У временима када култура често занемарена, солидарност и одговорност према уметности постају наш најузвишенији израз људскости. Заједно можемо сачувати ове вредности за генерације које долазе, да би уметност наставила да живи, надахњује и повезује нас све.”

PRINCESS DANICA CALLS FOR THE SAVAGE OF ULUPUDS AND THE “SINGIDUNUM” GALLERY

HRH Princess Danica sent a message of support to the Association of Fine and Applied Artists and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS)and the “Singidunum” Gallery, which are facing a difficult financial situation.

 

“As a long-time member of the Association of Fine and Applied Artists and Designers of Serbia, but also as someone who comes from an artistic family, I feel a deep connection to this community of creators that has been preserving, advancing, and transmitting the spirit of art and culture of our country for more than seven decades.

 

ULUPUDS and the Singidunum Gallery are living witnesses of the times, spaces where talent is transformed into a lasting legacy, where young artists are encouraged, and culture gains its most beautiful face. Today, however, these institutions are faced with a great challenge, which calls us all to unity and solidarity.

 

Culture is a mirror of our identity and the foundation of a society that strives for dignity, beauty, and spiritual strength, and the artist is a significant participant in our society. Therefore, I believe that now, more than ever, we need to show that we stand with those who enrich our common life with their work.

 

I invite everyone who appreciates the art, tradition, and culture of Serbia to support ULUPUDS and the Singidunum Gallery with their presence, support, or donation. At the same time, I sincerely appeal to the competent republican and city institutions to listen to this problem and help find a lasting solution that will ensure the survival of these important cultural centers.

 

In times when culture is often neglected, solidarity and responsibility towards art become our highest expression of humanity. Together we can preserve these values ​​for generations to come, so that art continues to live, inspire, and connect us all.”
