Њихова Краљевска Височанства Престолонаследник Александар и Принцеза Катарина  посетили су данас Клиничко болнички центар Бежанијска коса и овој здравственој установи поклонили десет електричних кревета за интензивну негу чија је укупна вредност 40.000 евра. Ову донацију омогућили су Лајфлајн Чикаго, хуманитарна организација под покровитељством Принцезе Катарине, др Данијел Ђурашковић Меглер и ТРИМЕДИКС Фондације.

Електрични кревети ће знатно олакшати негу и опоравак пацијената који буду боравили на одељењу интензивне неге.

Краљевски пар изразио је захвалност својим пријатељима и сарадницима у иностранству који већ годинама подржавају и помажу њихове напоре да унапреде здравствени систем у Србији. “Здравље људи увек мора да буде приоритет у сваком послу. Без доброг здравља нема ни пара, ни среће. Зато смо моја Фондација и ја фокусирани на помоћ Здравственим установама у земљи, јер је добро здравље грађана Србије предуслов за просперитет целе земље” – поручила је Принцеза Катарина.

Престолонаследник Александар и Принцеза Катарина обишли су и Дом за смештај старих лица Бежанијска коса где су за потребе штићеника ове установе уручили троја инвалидска колица и 25 ходалица које су такође омогућене донацијом хуманитарне организације Лајфлајн Чикаго под покровитељством Принцезе Катарине, Др Меглера и ТРИМЕДИКС Фондације. Дому за старе уручено је и 50 наткасни које су донација пријатељице Краљевског пара,  г-ђе Доре Економидоу са Кипра. Корисници Дома су  Престолонаследнику и Принцези уручили пригодне поклоне и  извели им кратак музички програм отпевавши им песму “Ово је Србија” и “Марширала Краља Петра гарда”.

Краљевски пар ће сутра, у петак, 1. јула, у 10:00 часова посетити и Здравствени центар у Аранђеловцу коме ће поред електричних кревета уручити и аутомобиле Фиат 500Л.

ROYAL COUPLE DELIVER ELECTRIC BEDS WORTH 40,000 EUROS TO BEZANIJSKA KOSA CLINICAL CENTER

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited the Clinical Hospital Center Bezanijska Kosa and delivered ten electric beds for intensive care with a total value of 40,000 euros to this health institution. This donation was enabled by the Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Dr. Danijel Djuraskovic Megler and TRIMEDIX Foundation.

Electric nursing beds will significantly facilitate the recovery of patients who will be staying in the intensive care ward.

The Royal Couple expressed gratitude to their friends and associates abroad, who have been supporting and helping their efforts to improve the health system in Serbia. “The health of the people must always be a priority in any business. Without good health, there is no money, no luck. That is why my Foundation and I are focused on helping health care institutions in the country, because the good health of Serbian citizens is a prerequisite for the prosperity of the whole country”- said Crown Princess Katherine.

Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine also visited the Nursing Home for the elderly Bezanijska Kosa where they delivered three wheelchairs and 25 walkers for the residents of this institution, the donation of which also was enabled by the Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Dr Megler and TRIMEDIX Foundation. Nursing Home also received 50 dressers, donated by the friend of the Royal Couple, Mrs. Dore Ekonomidou from Cyprus. The Home’s users presented the Crown Prince and Crown Princess with gifts and performed a short musical program, singing “This is Serbia” and “King Peter’s Guard Marched”.

On Friday, July 1, at 10:00 am, the Royal Couple will visit Health Center in Arandjelovac and deliver electric beds and Fiat 500L.

КРАЉЕВСКИ ПАР ПРИСУСТВОВАО ПРОСЛАВИ ВИДОВДАНА У ГРАЧАНИЦИ – ROYAL COUPLE ATTENDS VIDOVDAN CELEBRATION IN GRACANICA

Њихова Краљевска Височанства Престолонаследник Александар и Принцеза Катарина, у пратњи Предрага Марковића, члана Крунског савета, присуствовали су данас Светој архијерејској литургији у манастиру Грачаница, задужбини српског средњевековног Краља Милутина, коју је служио Његово Преосвештенство Епископ рашко-призренски Теодосије. Литургији је присуствовао заменик премијера Косова, Бранимир Стојановић, као и председник општине Грачаница, Владета Костић.

Након Литургије Краљевски пар је поделио играчке деци окупљеној у порти манастира, а затим и уручио народној кухињи „Мајка Девет Југовића“ донацију у виду брашна и тестенине.

Њ.К.В. Принцеза Катарина посетила је и Општу болницу у Грачаници како би увидела које су потребе ове здравствене установе и са каквим се проблемима суочавају, не би ли им у што краћем року помогла.

Краљевски пар је потом присуствовао помену косовским јунацима на Газиместану, где је Престолонаследник Александар положио венац.

Престолонаследник је честитао Видовдан, веома важан верски и национални празник за цео српски народ широм света којим се обележава сећање на пале јунаке на Косову и Метохији.

„Наша је дужност да вас помогнемо колико год можемо, јер док вама не буде боље, ни Србији неће бити боље“ – поручио је Престолонаследник.

ROYAL COUPLE ATTENDS VIDOVDAN CELEBRATION IN GRACANICA

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, accompanied by Mr Predrag Markovic, member of the Crown Council, attended today the Holy Liturgy at the Gracanica monastery, the endowment of Serbian medieval King Milutin, officiated by His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska and Prizren. The Liturgy was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Branimir Stojanovic, as well as the Mayor of Gracanica, Vladeta Kostic.

After the Liturgy the Royal Couple delivered toys to the children gathered in the churchyard, and then donated flour and pasta to the Soup Kitchen “Mother of nine Jugovics”.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine also visited the General Hospital in Gracanica to see what their needs are and what kind of problems they are faced with, in order to help this health care institution as soon as possible.

The Royal Couple then attended the memorial service for the Kosovo heroes in Gazimestan, where Crown Prince Alexander laid a wreath.

The Crown Prince congratulated Vidovdan, an important religious and national holiday for the entire Serbian nation around the world, marking the memory of the fallen heroes of Kosovo and Metohija.

“It is our duty to help you as much as we can, for as long as you do not get better, Serbia will not be better either” – said the Crown Prince.

Данас је Видовдан - Serbia marks June 28, Vidovdan

У Србији се данас обележава Видовдан, у знак сећања на кнеза Лазара Хребељановића и српске ратнике погинуле у бици с Турцима на Косову пољу 1389. године.

Српска православна црква обележиће празник светом архијерејском литургијом у манастиру Грачаница на Косову и Метохији након које ће бити одржан парастос косовским јунацима на Газиместану.

Председник Србије Томислав Николић положиће венац на Споменик косовским јунацима у Крушевцу, док ће на Тргу Шумадија у Косовској Митровици бити откривен споменик кнезу Лазару Хребељановићу.

Једна од одлучујућих битака у српској историји одиграла се на Видовдан, 28. јуна 1389. године на Косову пољу.

Предводећи српску војску против Турака у тој бици је погинуо кнез Лазар. Од тада, борба за ослобођење земље од Турака укорењена је у српску традицију.

Срби памте Кнеза Лазара не само по храбрости у бици на Косову, већ и по томе што је изградио многе манастире и друге задужбине.

На икони се кнез Лазар представља у византијској царској одори, али без круне на глави. У левој руци држи своју главу, а у другој крст. Видовдан није празник радости, не игра се и не пева, а људи се присећају палих ратника и обилазе њихове гробове.

Serbia marks June 28, Vidovdan

The feast of St. Vitus (Vidovdan) is marked in Serbia this June 28, in memory of Prince Lazar Hrebeljanovic ("Holy Tsar Lazar") and Serbian warriors.

They were killed in the battle with the Turks at Kosovo Polje in 1389.

The Serbian Orthodox Church will mark the day with holy liturgy at the Gracanica monastery in Kosovo and Metohija, while a memorial service will be held later in the day at the Gazimestan monument built to honor the Kosovo heroes that fell in the battle in 1389.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will lay a wreath at the monument to Kosovo Heroes in Krusevac, while a monument to Prince Lazar Hrebeljanovic will be unveiled in Sumadija Square in northern Kosovska Mitrovica.

One of the most decisive battles in the Serbian history took place on St. Vitus Day in 1389 at Kosovo Polje.

Leading the Serbian medieval state's army against the invading Ottoman Turks in this battle was was Prince Lazar, who also died during the fighting. Since then, the struggle for liberation of the country from the Turks has been rooted in the Serbian tradition, Beta agency reported this June 28.

Serbians remember Prince Lazar not only for his courage in the Battle of Kosovo, but also for having built many monasteries and other endowments.

St. Vitus Day is not as a joyous holiday but is marked solemnly, by remembering the fallen warriors and visiting their graves.

Њихова Краљевска Височанства Престолонаследник Александар и Принцеза Катарина били су данас у хуманитарној посети Нишу, Кнез Селу и Топоници.
Краљевски пар је у пратњи др Елејн Лејкок, дугогодишње здравствене директоре хуманитарне организације Лајфлајн Лондон која је под покровитељством Принцезе Катарине и др Џулије Палмер најпре посетио Клинички центар у Нишу, где су дечијој болници уручили високо фрекфентни осцилаторни вентилатор вредан 40.000 евра. Средства за куповину овог вредног респиратора прикупљена су у оквиру акције „Бебама у помоћ“ која је реализована у сарадњи хуманитарне Фондације Њ.К.В. Принцезе Катарине и емисије „Вече са Иваном Ивановићем“. Краљевски пар је малишанима који се налазе на одељењу дечије болнице поделио поклоне у виду слаткиша, играчака и школског прибора.
Престолонаследник, Принцеза, др Лејкок и др Палмер су потом посетили Клинику за плућне болесту у Кнез Селу за коју је захваљујући др Лејкок обезбеђен дванесто канални ЕКГ апарат. Након посете овој здравственој установи Њихова Краљевска Височанства посетили су и „Градску башту“ на нишкој тврђави где их је дочекао градоначелник Ниша проф. др Зоран Перишић, и директор ЈКП „Медиана“ г-дин Братислав Вучковић. У оквиру „градске баште“ постављена је клупа у спомен на преминулог оца др Џулије Палмер, добротворке из Велике Британије која је заједно са др Лејкок помагала и помаже Клинику за плућне болести у Кнез Селу.
Након посете градској башти Престолонаследник Александар и Принцеза Катарина посетили су и Специјалну психијатријску болницу у Горњој Топоници за коју је обезбеђена медицинска опрема и анализатор крви. Потом су посетили и вртић „Шврћа“ који похађа 90 малишана а за који су обезбеђена четири клима уређаја као и играчке за малишане.
Престолонаследник Александар рекао је да је веома срећан када његова породица и он имају могућност да помогну установама од виталног значаја за наше грађане, а све установе које су данас посетили и које су имали могућност да помогну веома су значајне и важне.
„Веома сам поносан на рад хуманитарне Фондације моје супруге, која улаже огромне напоре да помогне Здравственим установама и свима којима је помоћ потребна“ – поручио је Престолонаследник.
Престолонаследник се захвалио градоначелнику Ниша професору Зорану Костићу на срдачној и топлој добродошлици и истакао да Краљевски дом и град Ниш имају веома плодотворну дугогдишњу сараду на општу корист свих грађана овог дивног града на Нишави..
Њено Краљевско Височанство Принцеза Катарина изразила је пре свега велику захвалност г-дину Ивану Ивановићу који кроз своју емисију пружа свесрдну подршку бројним хуманитарним пројектима, и са којим је њена хуманитарна Фондација покренула акцију „Бебама у помоћ“.
„Најлепше хвала Ивану на томе што своју популарност ставља у службу хуманости али хвала и свим грађанима који су се одазвали нашем позиву да сви заједно помогнемо опремање дечијих палијативних јединица у Новом Саду, Нишу и Београду“ – поручила је Принцеза Катарина. Она се захвалила и др Елејн Лејкок на свесрдној помоћи коју пружа пројектима Фондације Принцезе Катарине већ 17 година.

ROYAL COUPLE IN HUMANITARIAN VISIT TO NIS, KNEZ SELO AND GORNJA TOPONICA

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine were today in a humanitarian visit to Nis, Knez Selo and Gornja Toponica today.
The Royal Couple, accompanied by Dr. Elaine Laycock, health director of Lifeline London Humanitarian Organization whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine, and Dr Julia Palmer first visited the Nis Clinical Center, where they delivered a high frequency oscillating fan worth 40,000 euros for the pediatric surgery ward. The funds for the purchase of this valuable equipment were raised with the “Help for Babies” program which was realized in cooperation between the Humanitarian Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine and the Prva V show “Evening with Ivan Ivanovic”. The Royal Couple delivered sweets, toys and school supplies to the children who are at the pediatric surgery ward.
The Crown Prince, Crown Princess, Dr Laycock and Dr Palmer then visited the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases in Knez Selo, which thanks to Dr. Laycock received a twelve channel ECG machine. After the visit to this health institution, Their Royal Highnesses visited the “City Garden” at the Nis Fortress, where they were welcomed by the mayor of Nis, prof. dr Zoran Perisis, and the director of JKP “Mediana” Mr. Bratislav Vuckovic. A bench has been set in memory of the deceased father of Dr. Julia Palmer, benefactress from Great Britain who, along with Dr. Laycock aids and assists the Department of Pulmonary Diseases in Knez Selo.
After visiting the City Garden Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited the Special Psychiatric Hospital in Gornja Toponica which received medical equipment and a blood analyzer. Then they visited the kindergarten “Svrca” in Gornji Matejevac with 90 children and delivered four air conditioners and toys.
Crown Prince Alexander said he was very happy when he and his family have the ability to help the institutions of vital importance for our citizens, and all the institutions that they had the opportunity to visit today are very significant and important.
“I am very proud of the humanitarian work of my wife’s Foundation, which makes every effort to assist the health care institutions and all those who need help” – said the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince thanked the Mayor of Nis Professor Zoran Kostic on the cordial and warm welcome and said that the Royal House and the city of Nis have very fruitful long time cooperation to the benefit of all citizens of this beautiful city on the Nisava river.
Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine expressed her gratitude first of all to Mr. Ivan Ivanovic, who through his TV show offers full support to many humanitarian projects, and who launched “Help for Babies” with her humanitarian Foundation.
“I thank very much Ivan for putting his popularity at the service of humanity, but I also thank all the citizens who responded to our call to help equip children’s palliative care units in Novi Sad, Nis and Belgrade” – said Crown Princess Katherine. She thanked Dr. Elaine Laycock for her generous assistance that she has been providing for the projects of the Crown Princess ‘s Foundation for 17 years now.

Njihova Kraljevska Visočanstva Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar i Princeza Katarina zajedno sa kćerkom g-đom Alison Endrjuz, bili su domaćini eksluzivne humanitarne modne revije svetski poznate dizajnerke srpskog porekla Roksande Ilinčić održane večeras u Belom Dvoru. Ovaj jedinstveni humanitarni događaj organizovala je Fondacija Nj.K.V. Princeza Katarina u saradnji sa Modnim studiom Klik, uz podršku Skupštine Grada Beograda sa ciljem prikupljanja sredstava za palijativno odeljenje za zbrinjavanje dece obolele od raka. Modnoj reviji prisustvovala su Nj.E. g-din Ivica Dačić, ministar spoljnih poslova, g-đa Tamara Vučić, supruga predsednika Vlade, g-din Aleksandar Rodić predsednik Adria medija grupe sa suprugom Natašom, prof. dr Lesli Leman, direktor odeljenja pedijatrijske onkologije harvardskog Dejna Faber Instituta za rak, g-đa Madlena Cepter, mecena i donator, dr Safi Kaskas sa suprugom, kao i predstavnici diplomatskog kora i društveno odgovornih kompanija koji su podržali ovu dobrotvornu akciju.

Fondacija Nj.K.V. Princeze Katarine i Modni studio KLIK predstavili su novu kolekciju svetski poznate srpske kreatorke Roksande Ilinčić, čiju odeću nose Vojvotkinja od Kembridža, Mišel Obama, Kejt Blanšet, Kira Najtli i mnogi drugi, uključujući članove kraljevskih porodica.

Program ove dobrotvorne večeri upotpunio je nastup britanskog hora „Voce“, koji je zvanični prateći hor „Rolingstounsa“, kao i izvedba mališana iz dečijeg hora „Čarolija“.

Nakon revije u dobrotvorne svrhe, svečana večera održana je u Kraljevskom Dvoru.

Kao i prethodnih godina, Fondacija Nj.K.V. Princeze Katarine želela je da poveže modu i dobročinstvo, kako bi se obezbedila pomoć za one kojima je potrebna.

Kraljevski par zahvalio je svim ljubiteljima mode, ambasadama, društveno odgovornim kompanijama i pojedincima koji su pružili svoj doprinos kako bi svi zajedno pomogli deci kojima je pomoć najpotrebnija.

ROYAL COUPLE HOST ROKSANDA ILINCIC CHARITY FASHION SHOW AT WHITE PALACE

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, together with their daughter Mrs. Alison Andrews, hosted an exclusive charity fashion show of the world famous designer of Serbian origin Roksanda Ilincic at the White Palace tonight. This unique charity event was organized by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine in cooperation with the Fashion Studio CLICK, and with the support of the City of Belgrade, with the aim of raising funds for children suffering from cancer and the palliative care unit. Fashion show was attended by HE Mr Ivica Dacic, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Tamara Vucic, wife of the Prime Minister of Serbia, Mr Aleksandar Rodic with wife Natasa, President of the Adria Media Group,  Professor Leslie Lehmann of Dana Farber Cancer Institute affiliate of Harvard who is they director of pediatric oncology, Mr Madlena Zepter, benefactor and donator, Dr Safi Kaskas with his wife, as well as by the representatives of the diplomatic corps and socially responsible companies who supported this humanitarian action.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Fashion Studio CLICK presented a new collection of the world famous Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic whose clothes are worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, Michelle Obama, Kate Blanchet, Kyra Knightley and many others, including members of the royal families.

The program of this charity event was complemented by the performance of the British “Voce Chamber Choir”, which is the official backing choir of the “Rolling Stones” as well as by a performance by the children’s choir “Magic”.

After the fashion show a charity gala dinner was held at the Royal Palace.

As in previous years, the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine wanted to connect fashion and charity and to provide help for those in need.

The Royal Couple thanked all fashion lovers, the diplomatic corps, socially responsible companies and individuals who gave contributed so that we all together help the children in need.

The organization of this unique event was supported by the “Crowne Plaza” Hotel, as well as by companies “Jana”, “Aura”, IN hotel and „Bean and Leaf“ company.

Поменом и полагањем цвећа на гроб Њеног Величанства Краљице Марије у Цркви Светог Ђорђа на Опленцу обележено је 55 година од њеног упокојења. Помен блаженопочившој Краљици служило је свештенство опленачког намесништва а у име Његовог Краљевског Височаства Престолонаследника Александра цвеће на Краљичин гроб положио је г-дин Предраг Марковић, члан Крунског савета, заједно са г-дином Драганом Рељићем, директором Задужбине Краља Петра I
Њ.В. Краљица Марија од Југославије била је кћерка Њ.В. Краља Фердинанда од Румуније и Њ. В. Краљице Марије од Румуније (кћерке Њ.К.В. Принца Алфреда, Војводе од Единбурга, сина Краљице Викторије од Велике Британије). Краљица је рођена у Готи, у Турингији у Немачкој, 6. јануара 1900, а умрла у Лондону, 22. јуна 1961. Њено Величанство удала се за Њ.В. Краља Александра I од Југославије у Београду, 8. јуна 1922, и са њим имала три сина –Престолонаследника Петра (касније Њ.В. Краља Петра II, оца Њ.К.В. Престолонаследника Александра) и Краљевиће Томислава и Андреја.
Била је веома омиљена у српском народу. У традиционалном друштву тадашње Србије, била је узор смерне супруге и мајке. Била је активна у добротворним организацијама. После убиства Њ.В. Краља Александра у Марсељу, 9. октобра 1934. остала је да се брине о синовима и спрема Петра да преузме краљевске дужности када постане пунолетан. Када је краљ Петар II ступио на престо 28. марта 1941. она је постала краљица-мајка. Током Другог светског рата учествовала је у раду Црвеног крста преко кога је слала хуманитарну помоћ у Југославију али се није потписивала својим именом већ псеудонимом Марија К. Ђорђевић.
После Другог светског рата скромно је живела у Енглеској на имању у Кенту. Шарл де Гол је 1959. одликовао великим крстом Ордена легије части. Умрла је 22. јуна 1961. у Лондону и сахрањена у Краљевском гробљу Фрогмор у Виндзору.
Њени посмртни остаци су ексхумирани и пренети у Србију 29. априла 2013. године, да би 26. маја 2013. у оквиру државне сахране били сахрањени на Опленцу, у породичном маузолеју Краљевске породице у Цркви Светог Ђорђа.

FIFTY FIFTH MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY OF HM QUEEN MARIA AT ST. GEORGE CHURCH IN OPLENAC

A Holy Liturgy and Memorial Service were held at the Church of St. George in Oplenac today, on the occasion of the fifty fifth anniversary of death of Her Majesty Queen Maria. The Clergy of St. George Church officiated the services. On behalf of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander, Mr Predrag Markovic member of the Crown Council and Mr Dragan Reljic, the director of HM King Peter I Foundation laid flowers.
HM Queen Maria was the daughter of HM King Ferdinand of Romania and HM Queen Marie of Romania (a daughter of HRH Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, a son of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom). The Queen was born in Gotha, Thuringia, in Germany 6 January 1900 and died in London 22 June 1961. Her Majesty married HM King Alexander I of Yugoslavia in Belgrade 8 June 1922 and they had three sons Crown Prince Peter (later HM King Peter II, father of HRH Crown Prince Alexander), Prince Tomislav and Prince Andrej.
She was loved very much by the Serbian people. She was a role model of a devoted and caring wife and mother. She was very much engaged in humanitarian work. After the assassination of HM King Alexander I in Marseilles 9 October 1934 she continued to care for her sons and became the Queen Mother. She was very active with the Red Cross during World War II, and sent a lot of humanitarian help to Yugoslavia, but always signed herself with alias Maria K. Djordjevic.
She lived modestly on her estate in Kent, England after the World War II. General Charles de Gaulle decorated her with the Great Cross of the Legion of Honour in 1959. She passed away on 22 June 1961, and was buried at the Royal Cemetery in Frogmore in Windsor. Her remains were transferred to Serbia on 29 April 2013, and she was buried at the Royal Mausoleum in Oplenac during the State funeral 26 May 2013.
