Njihova Kraljevska Visočanstva Prestolonaslednik Aleksandar i Princeza Katarina u subotu uveče bili su počasni gosti na proslavi 25 godina rada humanitarne organizacije Lajflajn iz Čikaga čiji je osnivač Njeno Kraljevsko Visočanstvo Princeza Katarina. Njihova Kraljevska Visočanstva došla su u pratnji svog unuka Majkla i unuke Stefani sa njenim suprugom Majklom. Na humanitarnom dogadjaju povodom godišnjice rada prisustvovalo je nekoliko stotina zvanica koji su pomogli da se prikupe sredstva za sirotišta, škole i bolnice u Srbiji.

Obraćajući se gostima i organizatorima, Njeno Kraljevsko Visočanstvo Princeza Katarina je istakla: „Iza nas je 25 godina posvećenog humanitarnog rada na koji smo jako ponosni. Hvala vam svima na pomoći i podršci. U narednih 25 godina, imaćemo još puno aktivnosti. Zajedno možemo puno toga da postignemo, zajedno možemo da odgovorimo na potrebe korisnika sirotišta, domova za stare, skloništa za beskućnike, bolnica, fizičkih lica i svih onih kojima je u Srbiji potrebna pomoć.“

Dr Milena Tatić Bajić, predsednica Upravnog odbora humanitarne organizacije Lajflajn iz Čikaga u svom govoru je rekla: „Blaženi smo što možemo da se bavimo poslom kojim se bavimo. Najveća nagrada je da vidite da se, kroz vašu pomoć, širi talas dobročinstva. Promena u jednom životu preslikava se na čitave zajednice.“

Dogadjaju je prisustvovao i generalni konzul Republike Srbije u Čikagu, gospodin Dejan Radulović. Nakon prikazivanja filma o aktivnostima organizacije i nekoliko govora, Njeno Kraljevsko Visočanstvo Princeza Katarina uručila je posebnu nagradu fondaciji Džon i Mildred Vučenić, za njihovu kontinuiranu pomoć i humanitarni rad. Pred kraj programa organizovana je tiha aukcija u prelepom prostoru Kluba sindikalne lige.

CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE VISIT LIFELINE HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION CHICAGO FOR ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia were guests of honour at the 25th Anniversary celebration of  Lifeline Humanitarian Organization, Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine, on Saturday in Chicago. Their Royal Highnesses were accompanied by their grandchildren Michael, Stephanie and Michael her husband.  This event was a huge success, gathering several hundred people, who helped raise funds for orphanages, shelters, schools and hospitals in Serbia.

Addressing guests and organizers HRH Crown Princess Katherine emphasized:

“We have 25 years of committed humanitarian action behind us and should all be proud of it. Thank you for your effort and commitment. More work is ahead of us for the next 25 years.

Together we can do a lot, and together we will respond to requests, from orphanages, old people’s homes, homeless’ shelters, health care institutions, individuals and all those who need help.”

Dr. Milena Tatic Bajich, President of the Board of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization Chicago said in her speech: “We are all blessed to be able to do the work we do.  We help many through our efforts and the really big reward is in creating a ripple effect.  Changing lives, alters many many communities.”

The event was attended by the Serbia’s General Consul General in Chicago Dejan Radulović. Guests enjoyed the program which contained video clips of efforts throughout the years, several speeches and the Princess Katherine Award presented the Princess Katherine award to the John and Mildred Wuchenich Foundation for their continued support and humanitarian aid.  The Union League Club of Chicago was a delightful venue for a silent auction toward the end of the program.

Његово Краљевско Височанство Принц Душан и Валери Де Музио ступили су у свету тајну брака у цркви Светог Ђорђа на Опленцу. Венчање су чинодејствовали Његово Преосвештенство Епископ шумадијски Јован и Његово Преосвештенство Епископ источноамерички Иринеј. Младожењин кум био је његов најбољи пријатељ г-дин Александар Сенуи.

Венчању Принца Душана Карађорђевића (унука Њ.К.В. Принца Павла и Принцезе Олге, сина Њ.К.В. Принца Александра и Принцезе Барбаре) и госпођице Валери Де Музио, присуствовали су многи чланови и пријатељи Краљевске породице Карађорђевић из Србије и иностранства – мајка Принца Душана Њ.К.В. Принцеза Барбара, Њихова Краљевска Височанства Престолонаследник Александар, Принцеза Катарина, Принц Филип и Принцеза Даница, Принц Мишел од Југославије, брат Принцезе Барбаре Принц Еуген од Лихтенштајна са супругом и децом Маријом, Аном и Јоханесом, Хелен вон Хабсбург, Гроф Игназ Вајт цу Теринг-Јетенбах са супругом Робинијом, Принц Тасило Фердинанд Метерних-Шандор, Александар и Рудолф од Лихтенштајна и Грофица Елизабета Кајндл-Шенборн.

Након венчања и вечере у Белом Двору, Њ.К.В. Престолонаследник Александар пожелео је младенцима добро здравље и дуг и срећан заједнички живот.

Српског и лихтенштајнског порекла, након 11 година школовања у енглеским интернатима, Принц Душан је завршио студије на Универзитету Мекгил у Монтреалу, стекавши диплому политичких наука и међународних односа. Након тога, одлучио је да проведе годину дана у Београду, где је учио српски и путовао широм Србије да би се поново повезао са својим наслеђем и коренима. Прво стажирање принца Душана било је у УНЕСКО-у, а затим је радио у Лореаловом одељењу за путовања и малопродају и у одељењу за маркетинг и комуникације компаније Еуроспорт. Након тога придружио се предузетничком пројекту у сектору авио карата, где је радио на стварању теретног чворишта у Јужној Америци. Принц Душан провео је 9 година радећи у Паризу и Њујорку у једној од водећих светских креативних мрежа бутика (ФРЕД & ФАРИД), која је специјализована за друштвена, садржајна и техничка решења за брендове, радећи на разним међународним брендовима, и сарађујући са водећим личностима у дигиталној уметности, музици, моди, фотографији, политици и спорту.

Италијанског порекла са очеве стране, и мађарског са мајчине, госпођица Валери Де Музио је одрасла у Њу Џерсију и провела последњих 25 година у Њујорку. Након похађања Модног института за технологију у Њујорку, стекла је дугогодишње интердисциплинарно искуство у модном оглашавању, уредништву и односима с јавношћу. Била је менаџер за односе с јавношћу у компанији Гучи, као и уредник за модно тржиште часописа Харперс Базар.

WEDDING OF PRINCE DUSHAN AND MS VALERIE DEMUZIO

His Royal Highness Prince Dushan and Ms. Valerie De Muzio were united in holy matrimony in the church of Saint George in Oplenac, Serbia. The religious ceremony was officiated by His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija and His Grace Bishop Irinej of the Eastern Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church in America. The bridegroom’s best man was his best friend Mr. Alexander Sehnaoui.

The wedding of Prince Dushan Karadjordjevic, the grandson of the late TRH Prince Paul and Princess Olga, son of TRH Prince Alexander and Princess Barbara, and Ms. Valerie De Muzio, was attended by many members and friends of the Royal Family Karadjordjevic from Serbia and abroad. The wedding was attended by Prince Dushan’s mother HRH Princess Barbara, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, TRH Prince Philip and Princess Danica, Prince Michael of Yugoslavia, Princess Barbara’s brother Prince Eugen of Liechtenstein with his spouse and children Marie, Anna and Johannes, Helen von Habsburg, Count Ignaz Veit zu Toerring-Jettenbach with his spouse Robinia, Prince Tassilo Ferdinand Metternich-Sándor, Alexander and Rodolphe Liechtenstein and Countess Elisabeth Kaindl-Schonborn.

Following the wedding and dinner at the White Palace, HRH Crown Prince Alexander wished the newlyweds good health, a long and happy life together.

With Serbian and Liechtenstein origins, and having been in English boarding schools for eleven years, Prince Dusan pursued his studies at McGill University in Montreal, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations. He decided thereafter to spend a year in Belgrade where he studied the language and travelled all around Serbia to reconnect with his heritage and roots. Prince Dusan’s first internship was at UNESCO, and then he worked within L’Oréal’s Travel-Retail division and Eurosport in marketing and communications. Following he joined an entrepreneurial project in the air cargo sector, where he worked on creating a cargo hub in South America. Prince Dusan spent nine years working in one of the world’s leading creative advertising boutique network (FRED & FARID) in Paris and New York, which specializes in social, content, technical solutions for brands, working on various international brands, and collaborated with leading figures in digital art, music, fashion, photography, politics and sport.

With Italian origins from her father’s side, and Hungarian origins from her mother, Ms. Valerie De Muzio grew up in New Jersey and spent the last 25 years in New York City. After attending New York Fashion Institute for Technology, she has many years of diverse experience working at the intersection of fashion advertising, editorial and public relations: Gucci Public Relations Manager, Harper’s Bazaar Fashion Market Editor, W Magazine Fashion Market Director, Management + Artists Director of Style Division, Kids Creative Agency Executive Art Buyer / New Business Development.

Као и сваке године, више од 1000 социјално угрожене деце били су гости Њихових Краљевских Височанстава Престолонаследника Александра и Принцезе Катарине на традиционалним васкршњим пријемима на Белом двору.

Деца са сметњама у развоју, деца без родитељског старања и ромска деца данас су примила васкршње поклоне које им је Краљевски пар припремио уз помоћ хуманитарне организације Лајфлајн Чикаго чији је покровитељ Њено Краљевско Височанство Принцеза Катарина. Као и сваке године, малишани су уживали у потрази за васкршњим фарбаним јајима у Краљевском парку испред Белог двора, након чега су Престолонаследник и Принцеза деци поделили пакетиће са играчкама, књигама и слаткишима.

Пријему је присуствовао викарни епископ патријарха српског – Његово Преосвештенство епископ ремезијански Стефан који је деци објаснио важност Васкрса, Његово Краљевско Височанство Принц Михаило, Њ.Е. г-дин Карло Ло Кашо, амбасадор Италије у Србији, као и бројни представници дипломатског кора и друштвено одговорних компанија које су подржале организацију овог веома важног пријема за децу.

ROYAL FAMILY AND LIFELINE CHICAGO BRING SMILES TO OVER 1,000 CHILDREN FOR EASTER HOLIDAY

Like every year, more than 1,000 socially vulnerable children were guests of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine at the traditional Easter receptions at the White Palace.

Children with disabilities, children without parental care and Roma children today received the Easter gifts which the Royal Couple prepared for them with the help of Lifeline Chicago organization whose patron is Her Royal Highness. Like every year, there was great joy for the young guests when the searched for colored eggs in the Royal Park in front of the White Palace, after which the Crown Prince and Crown Princess delivered toys, children’s books and sweets to the children.

Reception was attended by the Vicar Bishop of Patriarch of Serbia – Bishop of Remesiana Stefan who explained the importance of Easter to the children, HRH Prince Mihailo, HE Mr. Carlo Lo Cascio, Ambassador of Italy in Serbia, as well as the numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps and socially responsible companies that have supported the organization of this very important reception for the children.

Њихова Краљевска Височанства Престолонаследник Александар и Принцеза Катарина свечано су отворили традиционални Васкршњи базар рукотворина жена избеглица и деце са посебним потребама у Меркатор Центру у Београду. Сав приход од продаје рукотворина намењен је помоћи овим угроженим групама.

Отварању базара присуствовали су г-дин Владимир Цуцић, комесар за избеглице и миграције Републике Србије, представници дипломатског кора и други гости из културног и јавног живота Србије.

„Велико ми је задовољство да вам пожелим добродошлицу на традиционални Васкршњи базар и да захвалим управи Меркатор Центра који нам је омогућио да га организујемо у овом дивном простору. Имаћете прилику да видите и уживате у сјајним рукотворинама ових креативних жена и њихових удружења. Стварајући рукотворине, ове даме подржавају своје породице у најтежим временима, а сав приход од базара је намењен подршци женама, њиховим породицама и њиховим удружењима. Свима желим пуно успеха и хвала вам на великој подршци“, рекла је Њ.К.В. Принцеза Катарина.

Фондација Њ.К.В. Принцезе Катарине већ годинама организује традиционалне божићне и васкршње базаре рукотворина, са циљем да помогне расељеним, избеглим и социјално угроженим лицима да продајом својих радова зараде новац, што би им омогућило да проведу два велика хришћанска празника са породицама, без терета финансијских проблема. Више од 40 жена и деце из целе Србије излаже на овогодишњем базару, а сав приход од продаје намењен је помоћи овим угроженим групама.

Њихова Краљевска Височанства позивају све грађане да дођу и посете базар рукотворина и купе поклоне који ће одушевити њихове најмилије и помоћи овим марљивим и оданим женама и деци који излажу на базару. Васкршњи базар ће бити отворен у петак, 12. априла, од 11 до 22 часа, као и у суботу 13. априла и недељу 14. априла од 10 до 22 часа у Меркатор Центру, Булевар Уметности 4, Београд.

ROYAL COUPLE OPEN EASTER CHARITY BAZAAR

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine officially opened the traditional Easter Bazaar of handicrafts made by women refugees and children with special needs in Mercator Center in Belgrade. Total revenue from the sale of the handicrafts is intended to help vulnerable groups.

The opening of the bazaar was attended by Mr. Vladimir Cucic, Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of Republic of Serbia, the representatives of the diplomatic corps as well as the numerous guests from cultural and public life of Serbia.

“It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the traditional Easter Bazaar and to thank the Management of Mercator Center who enabled us to organize the Bazaar in this beautiful area. You will have the opportunity to see and enjoy the lovely handicrafts made by these creative women and their associations. Producing handicrafts, these ladies support their families in the most difficult times, and all proceeds from the bazaar will be used to support these women, their families and their associations. I wish everyone much success and thank you for your great support“, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine organized the traditional Christmas and Easter handicraft bazaars for many years, with the aim to help the displaced, refugees and socially vulnerable persons sell their work and earn money, which would allow them to spend two major Christian holidays with their own families unburdened with financial problems. Over 40 women and children from all over Serbia exhibit at this year’s bazaar, and all the proceeds from the sale is intended to help these vulnerable groups.

Their Royal Highnesses invite all the citizens to come and visit the handicraft bazaar and buy gifts that will delight their loved ones and help these hardworking and devoted women and children who exhibit at the Bazaar. The Easter Bazaar will be open on Friday 12 April, from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, as well as Saturday 13 April and Sunday 14 April from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm at Mercator Center, 4 Bulevar Umetnosti Street, Belgrade
